Triple paradise birds

This detailed wooden bird carving depicts three birds socialising and singing. This wonderful Paradise bird carvings has been personally handmade for Siiren. They have been crafted by a gifted carver named Sukartra who is based in bali , Indonesia. Following Siirens Strict Fair-trade guidelines Siiren pay Sukartra up to 4 x more than a large company would expect to pay him for this same work.

These Tropical bird Carvings have been created using a tropical wood known as parasite wood. It gets its name from a parasite that causes the wood to deform into mushroom like growths. The growths are then cut away to leave the most awesome naturally created shapes.
